## She didn’t break silence. She auditioned.

Ayelet Kroizer posted her little conversion narrative like a saint’s vita: Haredi girl, cancelled the exemption, enlisted in the Iron Swords War, sat in the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, “saw” Judea and Samaria and Gaza, discovered that Dover Tzahal is a “PR body,” and now, instead of the big trip or university, she will be the new spokeswoman of Shovrim Shtika — Breaking the Silence. She even ended with the influencer’s whimper: “follow.” Read it again. This is not testimony. This is a press release for a foreign-funded political NGO that has spent two decades turning anonymous gossip into a weapon against the only Jewish army on earth. She did not stumble into conscience. She applied for a job whose entire product is the humiliation of IDF soldiers in front of audiences that already hate them. The original post is [here](https://x.com/Ayelet_Kroizer/status/2117274960351670681). Within hours, Quds News Network — not a newsroom, a propaganda mill — was already selling her as the Haredi girl who “enlisted in the Israeli occupation army during the genocide.” That is the market. That is the customer. That is why they hired her. “Ayelet Kroizer, who grew up in the Haredi community and enlisted in the Israeli occupation army during the genocide, has become the new spokesperson of Breaking the Silence” ([Nov 2, 2026](https://x.com/i/status/2117336233235952008)).

## The unit-mate already demolished the costume.

While she was busy photographing herself in uniform in front of glass towers and writing about “dozens of dead,” an Israeli woman who says she served with her in the same unit did what Kroizer pretends to do: she told the truth without a foreign grant. The line circulating in Israel is vulgar, precise, and fatal. Ayelet, stop messing with people’s heads. You were in the economic department. The most operational thing you were exposed to was the Shekem — the army canteen. Instead of ruining soldiers’ lives, go take care of yourself, because you are in some kind of delusion. That is the whole “whistleblower.” Not a company commander in Khan Younis. Not a tracker in Judea and Samaria. Not a MAG investigator. A clerk in the economic section of a communications unit, now selling the canteen as combat and the press desk as the inner sanctum of war. MK Almog Cohen, who actually fought, called the post “shocking” and said it shows how deep the sickness has penetrated the systems ([Nov 2, 2026](https://x.com/i/status/2117304651897012354)). The left, which allies with Iran’s network of global Jihad and political Islam, will ignore the unit-mate and crown the clerk, because the clerk recites the liturgy they need: Israel lies, Muslim Arabs are “innocent,” the Jewish army is a branding agency.

## Dover Tzahal is not a crime. It is a wartime duty every serious army performs.

She writes as if discovering that an army spokesman’s job is to strengthen public trust and international legitimacy were a war crime. That is the job. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit exists to advise the Chief of Staff, formulate information policy, brief Israeli and foreign press, and in war to run a situation room, an information forum, and press centers around the clock — “Israel Defense Forces: Spokesperson’s Unit,” *Jewish Virtual Library* ([link](https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/idf-spokesperson-s-unit)). Avichay Adraee, who actually speaks to the Arab world, has said the unit is operational, that “it’s very important not to lie and manipulate the public. We speak the truth” — “This man is Israel’s face and voice to the Arabic-speaking world,” *FDD* ([link](https://www.fdd.org/analysis/op_eds/2024/02/02/this-man-is-israels-face-and-voice-to-the-arabic-speaking-world/)). Kroizer treats the sentence “we regret harm to uninvolved persons” as a dirty trick. That sentence is the law of distinction. Hamas films the rape and the burning family and calls it victory. The IDF says it regrets civilian harm because it is a Western army fighting a death cult that hides in hospitals. She learned how to phrase casualties and decided the phrasing was the atrocity. That is not morality. That is the left’s inversion: the Jewish army’s language of restraint is the crime; the jihadist’s language of slaughter is “context.”

## “Innocent” is the oldest lie in this war.

She boasts that she “saw how the word terrorist is attached even to innocent Arab Settlers” and how announcements were “tailored” to the audience. She names no date, no incident, no unit, no MAG file. That is not a confession. That is Breaking the Silence’s entire method: anecdote without evidence, anonymity without investigation, smear without a defendant. CAMERA has said it for years: the group’s “testimonies are typically anonymous and impossible to substantiate,” and they circulate them in Europe and the United States rather than submitting them for due process at home — “The IDF’s Pivotal Role in Securing the Jewish Future,” *CAMERA* ([link](https://www.camera.org/article/the-idf-s-pivotal-role-in-securing-the-jewish-future)). Co-director Mikhael Manekin told the BBC they see themselves “more as a media agency.” The purpose is “to generate public discussion,” not to report crimes to the army that is legally bound to investigate them — “Breaking the Silence and the British Media,” *CAMERA* ([link](https://www.camera.org/article/breaking-the-silence-and-the-british-media)). Amos Harel, writing in *Haaretz* and cited by the Jewish Virtual Library, already stripped the halo: Breaking the Silence “has a clear political agenda, and can no longer be classed as a ‘human rights organization.’” Any group whose website claims to expose “corruption which permeates the military system” is not a neutral observer. The agenda is withdrawal and international pressure — “Myths & Facts,” *Jewish Virtual Library* ([link](https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/myths-and-facts-online-exclusives-archive)). If Kroizer had a real case, she would have walked it into the Military Advocate General. She walked it into a press job.

## This NGO does not speak to Israel. It speaks over Israel’s head, on Europe’s dime.

Breaking the Silence was founded in 2004 as a “company for the benefit of the public.” The public that benefits is not the Israeli one. NGO Monitor documents the pattern without mercy: anecdotal, anonymous, unverifiable accounts from low-level soldiers, stripped of context, exported to parliaments, campuses, and newsrooms that do not know a checkpoint from a suicide belt, in order to fuel BDS and the Durban strategy of isolation — “Breaking the Silence’s International Activities,” *NGO Monitor* ([link](https://ngo-monitor.org/reports/breaking_the_silence_s_international_activities_september_november_/)). Co-founder Yehuda Shaul said the quiet part: “Sometimes, when you want to deliver messages to the inside, you must go outside.” Michael Manekin was blunter: “Really, the political significance is the only reason for doing it.” They refused to hand identities of alleged wrongdoers to the IDF while shopping the same stories abroad. The IDF has repeatedly asked them to bring complaints so they can be investigated. They prefer the stage. In 2014 they even had a soldier who wanted to testify *positively* about his service thrown off their own anniversary stage in Tel Aviv — “Breaking the Silence’s 10th Anniversary Goes International,” *NGO Monitor* ([link](https://ngo-monitor.org/breaking_the_silence_s_th_anniversary_goes_international/)). That is not a human rights organization. That is a narrative mill with a veto on any soldier who does not hate his own uniform.

## Follow the money. It is not “Israeli civil society.”

NGO Monitor’s October 2026 profile is the document the global press will not print. In 2024 Breaking the Silence took in NIS 9.4 million and spent NIS 9.6 million. From 2012 through 2026 it received NIS 60,047,883 from foreign governmental bodies. Foreign countries were 62 percent of donations in 2020–2023. The 2024–2026 donor list is a roll call of the European project against Israeli sovereignty: Canada, Switzerland, the EU, CCFD-France, DanChurchAid-Denmark, Broederlijk Delen-Belgium, Misereor-Germany, CAFOD-UK, Trocaire-Ireland, and the United Nations. In 2025–2026 the EU gave Breaking the Silence, together with B’Tselem, €410,000 for a project titled “The Transfer Cannot Succeed: Holding Israeli Authorities Accountable for Forcible Transfer.” They sat as implementing partners on Swedish money via the NGO Development Center alongside Al-Haq, Al Mezan, and Defense for Children International–Palestine — “Breaking the Silence (Shovrim Shtika),” *NGO Monitor* ([link](https://ngo-monitor.org/ngos/breaking_the_silence_shovirm_shtika_/)). InfluenceWatch records Open Society hundreds of thousands of dollars, UNDP as a top 2022 donor, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Oxfam, Rockefeller Brothers — “Breaking the Silence,” *Influence Watch* ([link](https://www.influencewatch.org/organization/breaking-the-silence/)). In January 2022 they signed a statement condemning Israel’s designation of six NGOs as PFLP fronts and told donors to “maintain and even increase” the money. After the October 7 massacre they signed the familiar joint note that denounced Hamas with one hand and demanded a ceasefire and an end to “bombardment of civilians” with the other, as if the pogrom and the war to destroy the pogromists were a matching pair. That is the shop Kroizer is proud to join.

## The global copy will write itself unless you break it first.

The disease is already in the bloodstream. Anadolu, TRT World, Yeni Şafak, Turkey Today — state and aligned Turkish outlets, not “Middle East media” in some neutral sense — are already running “former Israeli army spokesperson admits manipulating truth.” They will strip the Shekem, strip the economic department, strip the foreign millions, strip the refusal to file a MAG complaint, and leave one photogenic ex-Haredi in uniform saying the Jewish army lies. Western useful idiots, the left which allies with Iran’s network of global Jihad and political Islam, will reprint it as “IDF insider.” Campus BDS will put her on Zoom. The Hague tourists will call it evidence. The cure is not a polite fact-check. The cure is to say, in the first paragraph of every article, that a junior communications clerk with no named incident has been hired by a political NGO that takes European government money to smear IDF soldiers in front of foreigners, that a soldier from her own unit says she was in the economic department and her combat experience was the canteen, and that the people amplifying her tonight are the same people who called October 7 “resistance.” She says she was never good at staying silent in the face of injustices. Fine. Neither are we. The injustice is a Jewish soldier using the uniform as a prop to join the campaign to strip the Jewish state of the right to describe its enemies as what they are: Arab Muslim terrorists, Iranian proxy forces, and an Islamist terror regime that still holds the meaning of October 7 in its tunnels. If you served in this war, do not “break silence” into their microphone. Break their story.
